About Me
I’m Colin Murphy, a career coach who’s helped over 900 professionals take the next step in their careers. I specialize in working with mid-career professionals who haven’t job searched in years and now find themselves needing a thoughtful, strategic, and human approach. I created A Best Impression to bring purpose, momentum, and confidence to the job search and career transition process.
My coaching style is a mix of structure and heart. I bring practical tools, clear action plans, and tested strategies and I ask the right questions to help you reconnect with what you need and what is important to you.

My Background
My career spanned marketing, publicity, and sales in the entertainment and tech industry, start-ups, and nonprofits. Many of my clients are making career pivots or recovering from layoffs. I use my background in marketing and selling products to guide job seekers thought it to market and sell themselves as the product to solve problems.
I’ve spent the last decade researching job search trends, creating new tools, and testing strategies. Everything I teach is designed to save you time and help you stand out.
